What should I expect when I go to get my tattoo?
- Must have I.D. - Bring a valid photo I.D. Pass Port, State I.D., Drivers License are best forms.
- Bring references like text, images, photos, books. Anything that can help you explain to the artist what you want.
- See the design, approve it agree on price and payment method. Do not haggle with your artist. We understand budget. Sometimes the entire tattoo does not have to be done all at once. So separate visits can be made to break up large tattoos. Doing multiple sessions break down an expensive tattoo into smaller payments.
- Fill out paperwork. Paperwork is a contract stating you are getting art from an artist. You agree with the design or text that has been created to be applied to your skin.
- The area is prepped for the tattoo. Washed, shaved and cleaned.
- The stencil is applied. Stencil is your design on transfer paper. This allows the artist to put the design on your skin for placement.
- You approve the placement of the stencil, size and design. This is the second verbal approval.
- The artist begins the tattoo with the outline.
- Second is black shading and if there is color. Color is applied from the darkest color to the lightest.
- Once the entire tattoo is finished. You take a look in the mirror and check it out.
- The artist will wrap it up and you're on your way.
- Thank you...
